Practitioner Insurance with Balens

JAMA/ARA Affinity Insurance Scheme
The Japanese Acupuncture and Moxibustion Association have partnered with Balens Specialist Insurance Brokers to provide our members with a bespoke Affinity Scheme Insurance Policy. This scheme specifically covers acupuncture and related therapies. We are now one of the only groups who can insure you for blood-letting as well as semi-permanent acupuncture needles such as ASP and press needles. This policy also includes automatic cover for many adjunct therapies such as cupping and Gua Sha.

When discussing your insurance cover with Balens, it is important that you inform them that you are part of the ARA Insurance Affinity Scheme. Being a member of JAMA means you are also a member of ARA.

Discounted Professional Insurance

You are entitled to join the JAMA if you have your own insurance policy, but the JAMA/ARA Affinity Scheme through Balens is extremely hard to beat on price. Prices start from £66.13 per annum for insurance cover.

JAMA/ARA have partnered with Balens to provide comprehensive cover for acupuncture and adjunctive therapies. We are one of a select few groups that are covered to administer and leave semi-permanent needles in such as ASPs and intra-dermals, we are also able to include blood letting and gua sha (all subject to training).

You will be able to join the Discounted Balens Scheme when you have joined JAMA. If you wish to call Balens for any further advice – be sure to ask for the Balens Affinity Department and you can ask them about the ARA Affinity Scheme on 01684 580771.

If you require insurance – you will be given a link when you sign up.

“Grateful to JAMA for their speed, agility and commitment to members over the weekend all the work done by members for members. My JAMA letter to update my status on my GP’s records as a healthcare professional. The status and formal recognition by the NHS as front-line workers during this pandemic is such a huge mental shift on a personal and professional level and I just wanted to acknowledge it!”
